With so many resale rights products on the market it is easy to get lost in what is valuable and what is junk. There are a large variety of people from all over the world selling these products however not everyone who tries to sell it is marketing it effectively, or at all, in fact it is estimated (non officially) that 90% of the people who have resale rights to a product have no clue how to market it and are simply doing it wrong. If you are worried about the market saturating with resellers of a product there is another option that actually can be much more valuable to you. It's called Exclusive Resell Rights. What Exclusive Resell Rights are essentially are the rights to sell the product exclusively within either a group (limited amount of resellers) or as an individual (you and the author of the product exclusively). The best way to find these products that are valuable is often to find a product that doesn't have resale rights. Often until a product is saturated on the market the author will try to sell it exclusively, because they want to be the only one selling it thus no competition. You can contact the author and ask for Exclusive Resell Rights and although many will ignore you, because they don't want to offer these rights, you will eventually hit someone who will agree to give you rights for a piece of the profit or some other deal. Often a new marketer with a great product will want some marketing juice and will be happy that you asked. You should know a bit about marketing before approaching people for exclusive rights as they will need incentive to give them to you. Exclusive Resell Rights are valuable becuase they guarentee that nobody else will be sold (legally) the resell rights to the product and this makes your job much easier. Your only competition will be the author (or the small group of people of which again most will not do much with the resale rights anyway!) and you can even do a JV (joint venture) with the author and work together to get the book sold! |
